The Role
Do you want to take the lead on our IT strategy, information security, and data platform—close to both product and business? As our CIO, you’ll own the full IT landscape and make sure we can scale fast and safely. You’ll work closely with our CTO and product team, while also being part of the company’s leadership group. Since we’re still a small company, there’s plenty of room (and need) for hands-on implementation alongside the strategic work.
What you’ll do
IT & Data Strategy: Set the direction and roadmap to support business and product goals.
Information Security & Compliance: Own risk management, policies, training, and incident handling (think GDPR and patient data).
Cloud & Infrastructure: Keep our cloud setup (mostly Azure) reliable, performant, and cost-efficient.
IT Governance: Build processes for access, change/release, asset & license management, plus BCP/DR.
Scaling the Platform: Drive CI/CD, observability, and SRE practices with the CTO and dev team.
Vendor Management & Procurement: Negotiate contracts, manage vendors, and keep SLAs on track.
Internal IT & Identity: Set up solid core functions (IAM, MDM, device & network security).
Data & Insights: Develop BI/data platforms, governance, and quality so we can make great product and commercial decisions.
Responsible AI: Evaluate and safely operationalize AI opportunities.
Customer & Sales Support: Answer security questions, support integrations and onboarding.
Leadership & Reporting: Handle budgets, KPIs, and follow-ups.
About you
Experience as CIO / Head of IT / Platform / Infosec in a product company or scale-up.
Comfortable mixing strategy with hands-on execution.
Solid in cloud architecture (preferably Azure), networking, IAM, Zero Trust, and endpoint management.
Strong background in information security and compliance; ISO 27001/SOC 2 and DPIAs are a plus.
Used to working with CI/CD, incident, and change processes alongside developers.
Bonus points for experience with data/BI, data governance, and ML/AI in production (NLP, RAG, NER).
Fluent in both Swedish and English.
Our product & tech stack today
Our solution includes: a CMS for phrase databases, a customer portal, a search service powered by NLP, APIs tying it all together, and our medical translation app (iOS, Android, Web). We mainly build in .NET 8 and TypeScript (React + React Native), with some Python, Node, and Java in the mix.
